La Jolla Shores Beach (Bonfire Welcome Reception)

This 1.5mile white sand beach is the site of our Bonfire, and many saturday athletic activitites. For friday's welcome reception, we will provide a big firepit on the beach, tiki torches, and a steel drum band. Chatting, reveling and dancing - up to you!

Come one come all - whether you are just arriving in town or if you live here. Help us celebrate the night before our Wedding!

Birch Aquarium at Scripps Institute of Oceanography (Wedding Ceremony & Reception)

A wedding in an aquarium??    Well, all we can say is that after scouting a dozen hotels unenthusiastically, we fell in love with this quirky but beautiful venue immediately! Perched on a hill above the north end of La Jolla Shores Beach, the aquarium faces due west with sweeping views of the beach and La Jolla cove.

We will begin in the south patio for the ceremony, process through the inner courtyard to the tidal pool deck overlooking the Pacific for sunset cocktails, and then into the airy great hall for dinner. Enjoy dessert and dancing breaks under the full moon over the ocean, or stare back at the curious fish, all through the evening. We hope you will find the space as unique and charming as we do!
